Dance Instructor Bio
Madison Plummer is a Dance Instructor from Boston, MA. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Media and Minors in Dance and Film from Skidmore College in NY. During her studies Madison worked with choreographers including Stephen Petronio, Erika Pujic, Debra Fernandez, and Mary Harney. Madison has preformed with the Cindy Brandle Dance Company in Boulder, CO.
Madison has studied various dance styles including Drag Blues, Blues Fusion, Salsa, Bachata, Argentine Tango, West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Hustle, Rumba, Cha Cha, Merengue, Night Club Two Step, FoxTrot, American Tango, Waltz, Bolero, Ballet, and Contemporary.
Madison is passionate about teaching and crazy about dance. She’s dedicated to creating tailored programs for her students based of their goals and dance interests. Whatever the style, event, skill level, she will help get you to where you want to go.
Filmmaker Bio
Madison Plummer is a Dance Filmmaker from in Boston, MA. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Media and Minors in Dance and Film from Skidmore College in NY. During her studies Madison worked on various independent dance films as well as animations to pair with live dance performances.
Madison has created independent films that have been featured in festivals including CASCADIA Dance & Cinema Festival, Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema, and Encore: Dance on Film. In 2018, her short film, Impressions, won the Audience Choice Award at the Life in Motion: Colorado Film Festival and her dance photo series, Goldilocks, won 1st place at the Utah Dance Film Festival in 2019.
Madison loves combining her passions of dance, filmmaking, and visual effects to create surreal scenarios. Dependency is a key theme throughout Madison’s work. She uses choreography to create a physical and literal presentation of support while using visual effects to create more symbolic representations of that support disappearing.
